Next morning the weather was beautiful and it was a time to see the beach what was about a mile from the house. The strange thing is that movement is left sided like in London England, and when you are crossing the road you have to look right first then left and it was confusing. In any way the beach is beautiful, the sand is almost white and water is very warm and clean. Some beach restaurants are opened some not. Tourist season starts only in the end of December and it was a mid of November.
Going back to the house you need to take the road, which unfortunately still saying, that this place is on the process of development and need a lot of fixing and cleaning. There is something nice about that simple life, but in the same time there is something very unpleasant when you look around. As the artist or musician you want to create something beautiful and your eyes are looking for that beauty everywhere you go to get some inspiration, but it wasn't the case this time. Maybe it just was a piece of the Island, or maybe in general not exactly what our artist was imagine, before making a trip. All pictures what she saw before gave a wrong understanding of reality. Pics showed a beautiful beach and very cozy little houses, but not homeless sick looking dogs or trash on streets.
The sunny weather still kept the artist in a good mood and there were a lot of other things to do and to think about than just to be upset about the place. Oh well it is what it is.
Her school started and it was a bit tense, because to study online is a big challenge. There were some movie scenes to score as well and a few songs must be written in two weeks. Also a lot of material to remix and to rerecord. So mentally she was preparing herself for work.
About 9 p.m. next day our artist unpacked her studio. The Lexicon, which is connection between computer and musical instruments looked pretty and clean and just needed to be connected. All wires were out of bag and and nicely putted on the bed until the studio is set up. The electric wire was connected to the wall and nice blue and red light showed that Lexicon is alive and it made our artist to smile. Second wire is connection between computer and Lexicon and doing that procedure already hundreds of time before our artist without doubt put the wire into computer.
... Electric shock came from nowhere, short circuit - Lexicon shuts down. NO..... She was trying to unplug and to plug in over and over in different outlets, but nothing worked, Lexicon burned.
She sit down on her big bed almost crying and understood that the main part of her purpose to come here to write music is screwed and for how long who knows. It is not a big deal you may say, the equipment is breaking apart what is true, but there is just a little difference when you're in the middle of nowhere and very short with money...
