We spend so much life time sleeping. Why we need to sleep?

Why we have to sleep at night or to get a nap to feel good and functional?
Why human being and all the nature in general must go to sleep at all? I can't get it.
I don't like going to sleep, because I like to do things. It seems I just got up and it is already bedtime again.
Why we can't be active all the time? It is ok to get a break or some sleep once in a while.
We are all like computers or the phones, which must be recharged.

I need at least 9-10 hours of sleep every day to feel fine and that's really a lot, in other wise I'll be like a zombi all day long or can start to pick up different dimentson's life.

Just think about this: how many hours of life we sleep, it is not fair. So life is not too short as people say, it is double too short - it is just a moment, a fragment. But the fragment of what? Good question.

What is a purpose of physical life in general... and to all of that with so much sleep?... can you answer this question, because I can't.
